Austria's Supreme Prosecution Office has begun to investigate the secrecy funding of the ruling coalition of the Austrian Party of Freedom (APS) from abroad in exchange for access to state treaties. This was reported by the Secretary General of the Constitutional Affairs Ministry, Christian Pilnacek, for the Curie newspaper.

KFOR commander: Kosovo is now "very safe, but fragile"

KFOR Commander Salvatore Cuoci says the situation in Kosovo is at this time "stable, but fragile."

The Italian general told the Vienna daily Kronen Zeitung that it is currently "very safe."

"Much depends on whether people here want change. Primarily the youth does that," Cuoci has been quoted as saying.

Austria Cracks Jihadist Network Linked to Balkans

Several suspects from the Balkans, including two Bosnian men, were among 11 people arrested on Thursday in anti-terrorism raids by police in the Austrian cities of Vienna and Graz, according to local reports. 

Eight initial arrests reportedly included three Austrians, two Bosnians, a Syrian, a Bulgarian and a Macedonian, all of whom were male, according to a police spokesman.

Two men linked to Paris attackers arrested in Austria: Report

Two men who entered Europe with members of the group that carried out the deadly Paris attacks have been arrested in the Austrian city of Salzburg, posing as refugees, Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung reported on Dec. 16.

The two Frenchmen, of Algerian and Pakistani origin, are being questioned by French and Austrian authorities, the newspaper reported.
