31,873 people evacuated so far
BELGRADE - The rescue teams have evacuated 31,873 people from flood-hit areas in Serbia so far, while 2,260 buildings have been flooded and another 1,763 are in danger of the same fate, the Interior Ministry of Serbia said on Wednesday.
The relief efforts have included 3,564 firefighters, 847 vehicles, 429 pumps and 141 boats.

Floods threaten settlements,claim lives,evacuation underway
BELGRADE - The Serbian government declared a state of emergency due to flashing floods caused by heavy rain throughout the country on Thursday.
The decision was made at the request by the Republic Emergency Management Headquarters, who said this is the biggest natural disaster caused by rain in Serbia's history.

BELGRADE - Heavy rains and rising water levels in Serbian rivers caused a state of emergency in Valjevo, western Serbia, and several other municipalities on Wednesday, while 6 people were evacuated from the village of Dublje, near Valjevo.
