A virtual art exhibit, to support Turkish artists in the U.K., became available for online visitors on Feb. 17. 

The 3rd Annual Turkish Community Art Exhibition, organized by Yunus Emre Institute and Turkey's Consulate in London, opened online due to coronavirus restrictions taken by the British government to curb the spread of the virus.

Turkey's state-run cultural institute said on May 1 it will teach the Turkish language to Australians and New Zealanders as it continues cultural activities in a digital environment because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The mission of Yunus Emre Institute is not just limited to project Turkey's culture or encourage cultural exchange, according to its chairman. The strategy of the institute, which is celebrating its 10th year, has a humanitarian dimension to it. "We also want to answer the needs of our interlocutors," Professor Şeref Ateş has said.

Learning a foreign language is becoming more and more difficult with age. But when is it best time to start?

According to a recent study published in Cognition magazine and quoted by Travel + Leisure, the ideal age is 10 years. If a person begins after that, the chance to master the language perfectly is minimal.

The Education Ministry is aiming to establish a system of online courses and examinations for students wishing to certify their foreign language skills through the Greek State Certificate of Language Proficiency (KPG).
