Sofia Library Launches " Library in the Mountain 2019"
The Metropolitan Library is launching for the fourth year the " Library in the Mountain 2019" campaign, informs stolica.bg
The mountain challenge of the Metropolitan Library will begin on May 31st.
At 11.00, the Mobility Library will be launched by the Children's Eco-Station "Beli Brezi".

Green Libraries in Sofia's South Park
On July 21, 2018, from 10:00 to 14:00, the Metropolitan Library will host the Green Libraries summer reading room in the South Park.
There will be friends and partners of the initiative - the teachers from Music Play Music House, also the poets Bobby Mirchev and Peter Chuhov, who will read excerpts from their works.

Turkish aid agency TİKA opens digital libraries in Mexico
Turkey's state-run aid agency has established digital libraries in 142 education centers in Mexico's poor states, which were hit by a powerful earthquake last September.
Russian library home to largest Ottoman era collection
The Russian State Library's Center of Eastern Literature has the largest collection of Ottoman era books and other printed materials in the Turkish language in Europe and Russia, totaling around 35,000, according to a library official.

Rare artifacts under special protection in Konya

Bulgaria is 21st in the Ranking for Reading Books in the EU
About 20 percent of adult Bulgarians (or almost every fifth Bulgarian) and 30 percent of Bulgarian women (every third) have read at least 5 or more books last year, according to Eurostat's analysis of Europeans' cultural habits and in particular reading books. By this indicator, Bulgaria ranks 21st in the EU-28, with an average of 42% reading women and 30% men.
Teachers' Salaries Go Up 25% in 2018
