Hectares of treasury land with famous hotels transferred to new wealth fund

Many leading tourism investments and five-star hotels, located on 2.3 million square meters of land, have been transferred from Turkey's state treasury to the newly introduced Turkish Wealth Fund as well as a number of leading public companies and lenders. 

Turkey's Limak sees big future in Africa

Making even a small step in Africa provides a big change as the emerging continent still needs infrastructure and superstructure investments, the head of Turkish group Limak Yatirim Holding told Anadolu Agency on Nov. 16.

Ebru Özdemir, chair of Limak Investment - an investment arm of Limak Group Companies - said the firm would like to be part of Africa's development process.        

Sofia Airport Tender Extended by mid-December

Bulgaria has extended for a second time the deadline to submit offers for the concession the government seeks to grant on Sofia Airport, the country's biggest airport.

Candidates can now send their offers before December 15, upon a decision approved on the last workday before the November 06 presidential elections, which was Friday, November 04.

Turkish Limak Holding, Russian VTB Capital and Swiss Flughafen Zuerich will bid jointly for the rights to operate Sofia Airport for 35 years, reported Reuters.

In September, Bulgaria extended the deadline for the tender offers by one month until November 18 due to increased interest in the tender.
