'Turks renew their phones every two years'
The frequency of phone renewals in Türkiye has extended from 18 to 30 months in the past five years, with 75 percent of consumers opting for cash payments over exchanges, according to a telecom sector representative.

Teens agree less cell use, better grades
Two out of three teenagers think that if they used their mobile phones less they would perform better at school, according to the finds of a survey of 2,291 high school students and graduates by the Poukamisas Educational Center, seeking to assess their relationship with their devices and the impact in and out of school.

Telemach mobile towers sold to Saudi company
United Group, the Amsterdam-based media and telecommunications corporation, has sold its mobile towers infrastructure in Slovenia, Bulgaria and Croatia to the Saudi company Tawal. While the value of the transaction has not been disclosed, United Group values the infrastructure at €1.22 billion.

Customer to sue restaurant for lost iPhone after dock collapsed
A customer who fell into the sea and lost his iPhone as a restaurant's dock collapsed four months ago has filed a lawsuit against the restaurant for 28,500 Turkish liras to claim the cost of his phone.
The illegally built dock of the restaurant on Arnavutköy Street in Istanbul collapsed on the evening of Dec. 23, 2022, as 14 customers fell into the sea.
