Brkic: Officers of so-called Kosovo Police arrested in full combat gear
BELGRADE - State Secretary at the Serbian Interior Ministry Zeljko Brkic said an anti-terrorist unit of the Serbian police had located and arrested three officers of the so-called Kosovo Police deep inside the territory of central Serbia earlier in the afternoon, and noted that the arrestees had been "in full combat gear."
GM reaches deal for access to Tesla's North American chargers
Tesla will open its North American electric vehicle charging network to cars from rival General Motors beginning in 2024, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and GM Chief Mary Barra announced on June 8.
Under the agreement, which is similar to a collaboration unveiled last month between Ford and Tesla, GM vehicle owners will have access to Tesla's 12,000 "superchargers," said a GM news release.
Hypercar records measured with Slovenian know-how
The Slovenian data acquisition company Dewesoft joined forces with the Croatian Bugatti Rimac to recently measure the acceleration and braking times of Rimac Nevera, currently the most powerful electric car in the world. Nevera broke 23 records in the hypercar category.

China orders recall of 1.1 million Teslas
Chinese safety regulators have ordered Tesla to recall 1.1 million vehicles because drivers might step on the accelerator for too long, increasing the risk of a crash.
The State Administration for Market Regulation said in a notice that the recall involves imported Model S, X and 3 models as well as the Chinese-made Models Y and 3.

One dead and another severely injured in shooting at Mercedes Benz plant in Germany
Rescue workers are on the scene at factory 56 in Sindelfingen, which assembles the S-Class, according to the Bild newspaper.
According to a German newspaper report citing police, the suspect was detained after the shooting at the factory.
It added that the background of the shooting is still unclear.
Ford recalls some vehicles for air bag problems
Ford Motor is recalling certain 2004 to 2006 Ranger vehicles because replacement front passenger air bag inflators may have been installed incorrectly.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a letter that the recall includes 231,942 vehicles.
The vehicles had received replacement front passenger air bag inflators under a previous recall.

European car sales shift higher in March: data
Sales of new cars jumped last month in Europe, surpassing the level of one million for the first time since June 2021, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association published on Wednesday.
New car registrations hit 1,087,939 in March, an increase of 28.8 percent from the same month last year.

Akrapovič to supply Honda racing team in MotoGP
The Slovenian manufacturer Akrapovič has signed a new technical partnership with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) to become the official exhaust supplier for the Repsol Honda team in MotoGP, the elite class of motorcycle racing, from 2023.

Tesla with Disappointing Sales for 2022
Tesla said it delivered 1.31 million electric vehicles in 2022, a record for the U.S. automaker and a 40 percent jump from a year earlier, but still below its own and Wall Street expectations.
The Elon Musk-led company has set a long-term goal of increasing its shipments by an average of 50 percent annually.
