Fugitive horses cause chaos on Thessaloniki highway
Two horses caused traffic disruptions on Thursday after they began galloping on the highway connecting Moudania and Thessaloniki in northern Greece near the Thermi bridge.
The Thessaloniki Traffic Police responded immediately and arrived on the scene to regulate traffic while also ensuring the safety of drivers and that the horses were collected by their owner.
Halkidiki battered by powerful storm: 6 dead, 100 injured
According to the first police findings, six people lost their lives in a violent storm.
Two elderly Czech nationals were killed when strong winds swept away their travel trailer in Halkidiki, police said.
Man, 21, attacked by gang in Thessaloniki
A 21-year-old man who was set upon on the road between Thessaloniki and Nea Moudania on Friday night by a group of assailants, one of whom was wielding a club, was released from the northern port city's Aghios Pavlos Hospital on Saturday.

Guide to farmers road blocks around Greece (see map)
A meeting at of farmers representatives on Tuesday agreed upon 66 road blocks around Greece in protest against the social security reforms being tabled by Greek Parliament. They said that they would not enter dialogue with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras unless they receive a commitment that their rights would be protected.
Ship carrying fertilizer slams into harbor
A ship carrying 2,200 tons of fertilizer rammed into the harbor at Nea Moudania, northern Greece, on Thursday.
No injuries were reported aboard the Panama-flagged vessel and the crew did not report any damage to the ships hull.
The 15 crew members are all from Turkey.
