Negotiations leading to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action

All United Nations Security Council resolutions related to Iran's nuclear programme will be lifted immediately if a final deal is agreed, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on April 4, stressing the benefits to Iran of this week's negotiations.
   

Six world powers and Iran will meet again later on Wednesday in a bid to reach an outline accord reining in Tehran's nuclear programme, after failing to agree crucial details such as the lifting of U.N. sanctions by a Tuesday deadline.

In the latest sign a nuclear deal between world powers and Iran is imminent, British foreign minister Philip Hammond said March 27 he was ready to join the talks this weekend.
     
Hammond, speaking to reporters on a visit to Washington, said the deal was close but that it was not clear how it would be presented or whether there would be a written accord.
