BELGRADE - The director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic received UNMIK head Caroline Ziadeh on Thursday to discuss the political and security situation in Kosovo-Metohija in light of the recent tragic events in the Banjska village in the north of the province.

PRISTINA - The Brnjak administrative crossing between central Serbia and Kosovo-Metohija was reopened on Wednesday morning after being closed for ten days.

A regional deputy chief of the so-called Kosovo Police confirmed this in a statement to Tanjug, adding that the Jarinje administrative crossing remained closed.

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic met with the rapporteur of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Axel Schafer on Monday and expressed commitment to further cooperation.

BELGRADE, Sept 28 (Tanjug) - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Thursday the Eulex mission had not been allowed to take part in an investigation following last weekend's clashes in Banjska in the north of Kosovo-Metohija because Pristina wanted to hide that the Serbs killed in the clashes had been brutally murdered.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday evening Pristina's PM Albin Kurti was systematically destroying the Serb population in Kosovo-Metohija, and added that Serbs there were "going through hell".

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday he had had an important discussion with representatives of Quint states in one of the most difficult moments for Serbia and that he had requested that Kfor take over care of all security issues in the north of Kosovo-Metohija from the so-called Kosovo Police.

Vui met with the ambassadors of the United States of America, Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany.
The meeting was also attended by the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovi.
