Bulgarian photographer Veselin Atanasov became Photographer of the Year in the "Amateur" section of the Sony World Photography Award 2018.

The amateur photographer from Kazanlak won the first place in the category "Landscape" and "Nature".

Six Media representatives will go on trial today over the publication of long-lens photographs of Prince William’s wife Kate sunbathing topless in France that caused a scandal in Britain.

The case relates to photos printed in the glossy French magazine Closer and regional daily La Provence in September 2012.

Award-winning wedding photos captured priceless moments of couples tying the knot. The photos featured were submitted to the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers that holds quarterly contests among their talented wedding photographers.

A total of 37 works, which were displayed last year at the Burhan Do?ançay Museum at an exhibit titled "Picture the World: Burhan Do?ançay as a Photographer," were presented to collectors during a special sales event of the late painter and photographer on Dec. 15. 

The museum's director, Bergin Azer, said the photos would go on display in the geographies where they had been taken. 

Luke Austin, an Australian from Perth is the winner of the 2015 International Landscape Photography Award. The judging committee had a very difficult task of picking the best entry among 2,600 contestants that took part in the competition. Luke managed to impress the jury with his portfolio of 4 black and white photos of the diverse Australian landscape.

The Wikimedia Foundation insisted Aug. 7 it would not remove from its website a "selfie" taken by a mischievous monkey, despite claims from the British photographer whose camera was used that it breached his copyright.
