Today is St. Patrick's Day - a cultural and religious holiday celebrated annually on March 17th, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The day is a national holiday in Ireland and is also celebrated in many other parts of the world, particularly by Irish diaspora communities. The holiday is typically associated with the color green, shamrocks, and parades.

PM Citu: Gov't not to interfere with traditional unfolding of Easter, we do not consider additional measures

Prime Minister Florin Citu met with representatives of religious denominations on Wednesday, to whom he conveyed that no additional measures are being considered on the occasion of Easter and the religious holiday specific to Ramadan, stating that the movement of persons on the night of the Resurrection, respectively May 1 - May 2, as well as on the night of May 8 - May 9 will be allowed.

Today is Father's Day. December 26 commemorates the memory of St. Joseph the Bridegroom, the earthly father of Jesus. In Bulgaria, this day was celebrated as a Father's Day for the first time in 1997 after the decision of the union "We Women for Dignity and Equality".
