Seven lawmakers of the ultranationalist Golden Dawn party have been granted temporary leave from pre-trial custody to attend three votes in Parliament for a new president of the republic, on Wednesday and December 23 and 29.

A prosecutor responsible for dealing with matters relating to Korydallos Prison is due to decide early this week if the seven Golden Dawn MPs being held in pre-trial custody at the facility should be allowed to vote in the presidential elections.
