Two MPs from far-right Spartiates exit party
Greek lawmakers Georgios Aspiotis and Michalis Gavgiotakis announced on Tuesday that they was leaving the parliamentary group of far-right Spartiates (Spartans) and would serve as independent MPs, in a letter addressed to the House Speaker.

Far-right party leader chided for homophobic remarks
Deputy Parliament speaker Olga Gerovasili had to cut off the leader of the far-right Spartiates (Spartans) party from addressing the House on Thursday after he made a homophobic comment aimed at the prime minister's chief economic adviser.
Far-right Greek Solution expels MP
The far-right Greek Solution expelled MP Pavlos Sarakis on Tuesday. The party, which won fourth place in the recent European Parliament elections, issued a statement citing "arrogance, ingratitude, lack of moderation, and disparaging behavior towards colleagues" as reasons for Sarakis' expulsion.

Angry voters boost far-right in the north
The far-right vote in the European Parliament election was especially strong in Greece. And nowhere was it stronger than in the northern regional unit of Pella.
There, the hard-right populist Greek Solution achieved one of its best results: second place, with 17.28% of the vote, almost double its national score (9.30%).

Supreme Court seeks probe into allegations of fraud in European elections
The Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgia Adilini, sent a request on Friday to the Athens prosecutor's office asking to investigate allegations of fraud during the recent European elections made by the leader of the nationalist Greek Solution (Elliniki Lysi) party, Kyriakos Velopoulos, and a former New Democracy MEP, Georgios Kyrtsos.
The right and faintheartedness
There are two definite conclusions from Sunday's European elections. Ruling New Democracy (ND) lost big and nationalist, pro-Russian Greek Solution won big. The percentages secured by all parties seem to imply a further shift of the ideological-political axis to the right.

Spartiates remain in Parliament for time being
The decision over the parliamentary presence of the far-right Spartiates (Spartans) has been postponed by the Electoral Court until after a verdict is issued in the criminal trial of the party's MPs who are being prosecuted for defrauding the electorate.

Greece's electoral court has decided to postpone its ruling on the far-right Spartiates (Spartans) party until after the completion of the criminal trial involving some of its representatives.
Prosecutor wants Michaloliakos back behind bars
An appeals court prosecutor has appealed a decision of a Lamia court earlier this month to grant conditional release to Nikos Michaloliakos, who in 2020 was sentenced to 13 years and 6 months' imprisonment after being convicted of leading the Golden Dawn criminal organization.
