Restoration and conservation work will be conducted on mosaics at the Great Palace Mosaics Museum in Istanbul for the first time since the 1980sEastern Roman mosaics dating back a millennium-and-a-half are set to get their first touch-up in almost three decades at the Istanbul Restoration and Conservation Laboratory to give them a more modern look.

Turkish company blames French after 'botched' mosaic restoration
A Turkish company has claimed at least 10 Roman mosaics, held in the world?s second largest mosaic museum in Turkey?s southern city of Antakya in the province of Hatay, were not actually damaged, but are now even in even better condition than the previous restoration conducted by French experts.
