PM's visit to Mt Athos canceled over atheism
Religious authorities on Mount Athos in northern Greece say that a scheduled visit last Wednesday to Karyes - the seat of the clerical and secular administration of the Orthodox monastic monastic state - by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was canceled because he has "declared himself an atheist."

Football supporters clash near St. Sava's Temple
A mass fight broke out on Thursday night near the Temple of St. Sava in Belgrade between supporters of Red Star and Partizan, local media reported.
The police had to intervene, while the medical emergency service said that two persons were injured.

Belgrade: Massive mosaic for Saint Sava's Temple arrives from Russia
The first part of the mosaic for the largest dome of the Temple of St. Sava in Belgrade arrived in the Serbian capital on Wednesday morning.
The 10-ton cargo traveled for over 2,000 kilometers through Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary before reaching our country.

Vucic visits All Saints' Temple in Minsk
MINSK - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Friday visited the All Saints' Temple in Minsk.
Vucic spoke to the priests of the Temple, who gave him a large icon of John the Baptist, a gift to the St Sava Temple in Belgrade.

Media in Croatia again refer to Nikola Tesla as "Croatian"
The media in Croatia have once again referred to Nikola Tesla as being Croatian, Tanjug is reporting on Tuesday.
This is taking place after the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) said it wants the urn with Tesla's ashes - currently located in the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade - transferred to St. Sava's Temple in the Serbian capital.
Dacic: Serbian church in New York to be restored in a year or two
NEW YORK - Serbia's caretaker First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has visited the Parish Hall and the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Sava in New York, which was destroyed in a fire on Orthodox Easter, saying during the visit that the Serbian government will help rehabilitate the church and ask the City of New York to help in its reconstruction.
Consul: Fire was not started deliberately

Holy Fire arrives in St. Sava Temple
BELGRADE - The Holy Fire, the flame of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, arrived in Serbia, where it was handed over to Patriarch Irinej, who shared it with Orthodox Church priests and people gathered in front of the Temple of Saint Sava in Belgrade on Orthodox Easter on Sunday.

Toronto: Man crashes car into Serbian Orthodox church
An unidentified man has been arrested in Toronto, Canada, after crashing his car into the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox church in that town.
Canadian media are reporting that after the incident, the man attempted to flee the scene by stopping other vehicles - but in the end used public transportation.
