Serbian ombudsman writes to Croatian counterpart
Serbian Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic has written to his Croatian counterpart Lora Vidovic propmpted by the decision of Vukovar in Croatia to ban bilingual signs.
The city authorities' decision concerns the use of Serbian Cyrillic - the alphabet of the town's Serb minority.

CoE urges Croatia to comply with European languages charter
The Council of Europe (CoE) has expressed regret over the decision by Vukovar City Council to change the city's statute and ban the use of bilingual signs.
These signs are written in both Croatian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic scripts and placed on public institutions, squares and streets.
Croatian town's removal of Serbian Cyrillic "clear message"
There is no room for the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet in any of Croatia's 23 municipalities where Serbs constitute at least a third of the population.
The decision passed on Monday by the local administration in the municipality of Vukovar "sends a clear message - Serbs are not welcome: they best be assimilated, or move out," says Miodrag Linta.
Russia, Belarus, Serbia to Hold Joint Military Drills
Military exercises involving troops from Russia, Serbia and Belarus are due this year, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has said.
Shoigu made the announcement after meeting his Serbian counterpart Bratislav Gasic on Saturday.
Russian daily Kommersant quotes Shoigu as saying "much importance" is placed on the drill which will be titled "Slavic Brotherhood - 2015".

High degree of alignment with EU regulations
BELGRADE - Serbia has achieved a high level of alignment with EU regulations in the consumer protection sector in Serbia, Serbian State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and head of the Negotiating Group 28 Vesna Kovac said on Thursday.
