Brnabic: I am preparing for new role, I will build stronger ties with MEPs

BUCHAREST - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Thursday in Bucharest, where she is attending a European People's Party (EPP) congress, that she was preparing for her new role as parliament speaker and that she would build even stronger ties with European Parliament members.

Brnabic, von der Leyen meet in Bucharest

BUCHAREST - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic had a cordial encounter with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Bucharest on Wednesday before a European People's Party (EPP) annual congress in the Romanian capital.

The congress will bring together more than 2,000 delegates from over 40 countries.

Brnabic will meet with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis in the evening.

Sapic: I expect to be candidate for Belgrade mayor again

BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader Aleksandar Sapic, who heads the City of Belgrade Interim Authority, expects to be a candidate for mayor again.

In an interview to Tanjug, Sapic said this should be formally confirmed in a few days' time, following a meeting of the SNS Head Committee.

BELGRADE - Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) President Ivica Dacic said on Monday the SPS-led Ivica Dacic - PM of Serbia electoral list stood ready to continue to cooperate with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and announced that all state bodies would be formed in the weeks to come.
