A phone call at 7:55 p.m. had warned that a bomb would explode in 1 hour. The building was evacuated.

A homemade explosive mechanism blew up outside Aghios Dionysios church in the upscale Athenian district of Kolonaki on Thursday morning injuring a policeman, Greek media reported.
The device was placed inside a metallic box discovered by a church employee who notified police, according to the head of the police's special guards union, Stavros Mavroidakos.

Athens Appeals Court being evacuated after bomb warning
The Athens Court of Appeals was being evacuated on Tuesday morning following two anonymous telephone calls warning of a bomb.
The calls were made to the newspaper Eleftheros Typos and the website Zoulga.gr, warning that the court had to be evacuated by 11.20 a.m.

What did the bombers who targeted Kathimerini and Skai ultimately accomplish? Sure, they caused damage, which will be repaired, at a time when every euro counts. But beyond that? Did they think that they would terrorize the journalists into silence, make them stop talking and writing? As if we would. We will not weep or be intimidated.

Journalists union, media regulator condemn TV station bomb attack
Greece's broadcasting regulator, the National Council for Radio and Television (ESR) and the Athens Journalists' Union (ESHEA) condemned on Monday a bomb attack against the headquarters of Skai TV station and Kathimerini newspaper which they said targets pluralism and democracy.
Kathimerini says journalists will not cower in fear
Kathimerini newspaper issued the following statement in response to the bombing attack on the headquarters of Skai TV and Kathimerini newspaper early Monday morning:
"The terrorist attack on Skai and Kathimerini will not make us cower. We will keep operating with professionalism, independence and objectivity.
