Train service through the Channel Tunnel between France and Britain resumed early Jan. 18, a day after a lorry fire forced the crucial link's closure and suspension of all trains, operator Eurotunnel said.
      
"Our passenger service is currently operating to schedule with up to one departure per hour," the firm said on its website.
      

Paris police say the Gare de l'Est train station has been closed and evacuated after a bomb threat Jan. 16, as authorities try to prevent new violence after the worst terrorist attacks in decades.

A police official says the station was closed "as a precaution." The official, who was not authorized to be publicly named, would not give further details.
