Demand for Student Loans in Bulgaria Lowers over High Interest Rates
In 11 years, less than half of the amount of the guaranteed student loans have been reimbursed to the state. Students refrain from borrowing money because of the high interest rates, although a total of EUR 20 million was earmarked for student loans in 2021. In 11 years, only 1,274 students have applied for a student loan.
Greeks studying in UK will need visas
The United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union has created a new environment for EU, and by extension Greek, students at the country's universities.
Indicatively, a visa will be required for the next academic year, while tuition fees will be determined by each individual academic institution. These fees will differ according to the field and level of studies.

Investbank Provides Loans for Undergraduate and Doctoral Students
From the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year, Investbank will provide loans to undergraduate and doctoral students after concluding a contract with the Ministry of Education and Science for lending to undergraduate and doctoral students with state financial support. The student loan system guarantees access for young people to higher education, regardless of their social status.
England will Grant Student Credits after Brexit
England will continue to grant student loans to students from Europe after Brexit in March next year - Bulgarian children will be able to get funding from London, reports bTV.

One in five university students in Turkey who receive state loan support fail to pay their debts
Some 239,097 university students, out of just over one million who received credit from the state for their higher education, have failed to pay back their loans on time, daily Evrensel reported on Aug. 23.
