World's Biggest Sovereign Fund Pleads to Save Oceans
AFP - Companies should be doing more to protect the world's oceans, including combatting plastic waste pollution, Norway's sovereign wealth fund, the world's biggest, said on Wednesday.
"The ocean is a vital part of the biosphere and an important part of the global economy," said Yngve Slyngstad, the head of the fund valued at 8.66 trillion kroner (890 billion euros, $1.03 trillion).

World Bank approves 100 mln euro programme for Serbia
WASHINGTON - The World Bank Group Board of Directors has approved a new 119 mln dollar (100 mln euro) Enhancing Infrastructure Efficiency and Sustainability Programme for Serbia.
"Serbia will be able to better maintain 8,000 kilometers of roads and improve energy efficiency in 234 of its public buildings," said a WB statement sent to Tanjug.

Leonardo DiCaprio Announces USD 20 Million Grant to Battle Climate Change
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio donated USD 20 million in grants through his environmental foundation, NOVA informs.
The Oscar winner, who founded his organization in 1998, said the amount would be distributed to more than 100 organizations committed to environmental sustainability.
