Union calls stoppages as gov't tells teachers to make up lost hours
Members of the secondary school teachers union (OLME) are to hold work stoppages from Wednesday through Friday in a bid to disrupt the resumption of lessons earlier than scheduled at 571 schools across the country and sabotage an attempt by the Education Ministry to allow pupils to make up for time lost due to weeks of sit-ins.
