‘I am born a champion’, says beaten Grand Slam dreamer Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas dreamed of holding the Australian Open trophy aloft after nodding off on the eve of Sunday's final but Novak Djokovic ended up giving the confident Greek a rude awakening.
In a rematch of the 2021 French Open decider, Tsitsipas lost 6-3 7-6(4) 7-6(5) as the Serbian claimed a record-extending 10th Australian Open and 22nd Grand Slam title to match Rafa Nadal.
Djokovic once again proves too strong for Tsitsipas
Stefanos Tsitsipas succumbed on Sunday to a superior Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open final, going down in straight sets, though two of them were lost for the Greek in the tie break.

Australia warns Djokovic's Family over Russian Flag and Symbols
The Australian Tennis Federation, which is the organizer of the country's Open Championship, issued a warning to the father of the Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic - Sarjan and his family, to refrain from displaying the Russian flag, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
Djokovic fights for the tenth Australian Open Final in the evening session on Friday
Djokovic's opponent will be Tommy Paul, an American with whom he has not met so far in his career.
This is Novak's 10th time playing in the semi-finals of Melbourne, and he has been successful in all previous ones.
Djokovic has been pretty confident so far in the tournament, despite the hamstring injury.
Tornado Djokovic blew away Rublev!
The nine-time champion charged past the sixth-ranked tennis player in the world, Russian Andrei Rublev, in the quarter-finals - 6:1, 6:2, 6:4.
"Very close to the performance of two nights ago," Djokovic said in on court interview. "Cannot be happier with my tennis. Been playing very solid from the back of the court."

Tsitsipas subdues Lehecka to reach Australian Open semi-final
Stefanos Tsitsipas reached the Australian Open semi-finals for the fourth time as the Greek saw off rising Czech Jiri Lehecka 6-3 7-6(2) 6-4 on Tuesday.
The third seed dominated the opening set after breaking a nervy Lehecka early on but was pushed hard after that against the 21-year-old who has enjoyed a breakout tournament.
