Macedonia's DUI Mayors Suspect 'Revenge' Inspections
An increase in official inspections in municipalities led by mayors from the Democratic Union for Integration, DUI has raised suspicions after the party on Sunday declined to support a renewed governing alliance with former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has commented on the creation on Monday of the Union of Albanian Municipalities.
This union includes Tirana, Pristina, Tetovo, Ulcinj, and Presevo.

The Union of Albanian Municipalities in the Region has been formed in Tirana, Albania, on the occasion of the Albanian national holiday, November 28.
This union is made up of Tirana, Pristina, Tetovo, Ulcinj, and Presevo, with an agreement of cooperation signed by the mayors of the five towns.

Macedonia's PM 'Promised to React' on Bulgarian Monument Desecration
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has said his Macedonian counterpart Emil Dimitriev assured him there would be a response from authorities to the desecration of a memorial plaque allegedly committed by a Macedonian journalist.
"I don't want to comment," he has told reporters after a summit in Vienna.

Macedonia's Greens See Red Over Deadly Smog
A coalition of 21 environmentalist groups and NGOs from across Macedonia is considering more protest marches as well as possible blockades of institutions and streets during February.
They accuse the authorities of failing to take relevant action against extremely high levels of air pollution in the capital and in several other towns.
