Maya Manolova presented her management program as candidate for mayor of Sofia. It contains 23 measures. The former Ombudsman promised a clean and green capital, as well as a digitalization of the Metropolitan Municipality. The candidate for mayor of the capital announced that she will manage transparently and make a complete revision of Toplofikatsiya Sofia and the municipal companies.

''Toplofikatsiya Sofia'' reminds its customers that from 00:00 am today to 24 am on August 31, 2019 inclusive, the supply of hot water to some of the regions in the capital will be stopped due to planned repairs.

Customers of Toplofikatsiya Sofia will not be able to dispute the reporting made by the venture as to whether they have been left without heating supply for more than 48 hours, which would deprive them of compensation, stated Georgi Belovski, director of the venture, before the energy committee with Sofia Municipality on Thursday.

There has been no technical fault in the facilities owned by CEZ charging the pump station of Toplofikatsiya.

This has been cleared in a meeting between the management of CEZ Distribution Bulgaria with the management of Toplofikatsiya Sofia in order to clarify the reasons about the technical faults with the heating pipes.

Ombudsman Maya Manolova has initiated a law suit against Toplofikatsiya Sofia. Manolova is appealing the refusal of the venture to provide information about the collection of payments owed by consumers via judicial procedures.

Filed complaints against Toplofikatsiya Sofia have increased by 216% in one year, announced Ombudsman Maya Manolova.

In the last twelve months, 908 clients have filed a complaint against Toplofikatsiya Sofia. As expected, the largest number of complaints was submitted against monopoly ventures and public services providers.

Toplofikatsiya Sofia is prepared to turn on the heating for all subscribers in the capital, said on Radio Sofia the spokesperson of the venture Elizabet Pavlova

All rehabilitation works have been concluded.

Bulgaria's Supreme Court of Cassation (VKS) has sentenced  the former director of heating utility Toplofikatsiya Sofia Valentin Dimitrov to three years' imprisonment.

Rulings by the VKS cannot be appealed. The court confirmed previous rulings that found him guilty of property mismanagement.

Bulgaria's Supreme Administrative Court (VAS) has allowed the Commission for Protection of Competition (KZK) to impose a penalty of BGN 125 000 on heating utility Toplofikatsiya Sofia for abuse of dominant position.

Heating utility Toplofikatsiya Sofia has run up debts of BGN 627 M in unpaid gas bills.

The major portion of the debt, BGN 500 M, is to be paid to the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), while the remaining sum of BGN 127 M is owed to state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz.
