Car slammed into metro station "Joliot Curie in Sofia in the early hours of Thursday, said Sofia Police.

The incident happened about 2.40 hours when the car crashed without the involvement of another vehicle.

A driver has been released despite causing an accident that cost the life of a motorcyclist on an Istanbul highway. 

Twenty people were killed and 425 were injured in 363 road accidents in Attica alone last month, according to the official data from the region's traffic police. 

Of those injured, 13 suffered serious trauma, while the rest were hurt lightly.

Sofia. Legislative changes to regulate new obligations are needed in order to improve safety on the roads, traffic safety expert Aleksi Stratiev told Focus Radio. In his words, experts will need time to analyse the legislation related to traffic safety, as each law comprises dozens of regulations.

Sofia. Legislative texts on safety belts have been drafted and will be sent to the Parliament in September, Automobile Administration Agency Director Boyko Ranovski told Nova TV this morning. "The belt issue is very important, brought up after each serious accident, and there is no room for retreat anymore, the law must be changed," he said.

A motorist slammed into pedestrians and cyclists near Britain's Houses of Parliament on Tuesday and police are treating the incident as an act of terror.

Sofia. Three people died and 10 others were injured in traffic accidents in the country in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior said. A total of 11 serious road accidents occurred across the country. In Sofia, there were 25 light accidents with no injuries.

There were 13 fatalities in 13 accidents on Attica roads last month, the Traffic Police said on Friday.

In the same period, authorities recorded 21 serious accidents, which resulted in 24 serious injuries, as well as 399 less serious accidents which left 507 people with minor injuries.

The Bulgarian driver continues to drive fast and is not sufficiently responsible for the transportation of his own child. This is shown in a report on road accidents in 2017, quoted by Nova TV.
