Long live Turkish justice

The Turkish leg of the Deniz Feneri (Lighthouse) charity embezzlement case, which a German court defined as "the theft of the century," had a happy ending. 

If the Frankfurt court had not pointed out that "The real criminals are in Turkey," then we would not have had to wait this long for the happy ending; this case would have never been opened in the beginning anyway.

Turkish Education Minister Nabi Avc? admitted Turkey has failed to successfully teach English as a foreign language in schools, while also praising the education system's success teaching Turkish as a foreign language to Kurdish children, speaking to reporters in Ankara on May 12. 

7th Istanbul Tanp?nar Literature Festival to host global writers

The Istanbul Tanp?nar Literature Festival will be held from May 4 to 8 with the theme ?City and Frontiers,? hosting dozens of writers from various countries.

Turkey?s first and biggest literature festival, the Istanbul Tanp?nar Literature Festival (ITEF) is set to be held between May 4 and 8, with more than 30 writers from 26 countries attending the festival. 

Ankara mayor Gökçek to file lawsuit against HDP leader Demirta?

Peoples? Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirta? has accused Ankara Mayor Melih Gökçek of having private camera recordings of his party friends, which have allowed him to stay mayor for a long period of time. 

Gökçek, from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), said on April 26 he will file a lawsuit against Demirta? and called on him to prove his claims.
