Bulgarian Government: Another 42,000 Schoolchildren Resume in-Person Learning Today, Additional BGN 120 Million Allocated for Business Support
As of today, another 42,000 students from junior high and high school study in attendance, reported Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev during a working meeting convened by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov with representatives of the National Operational Headquarters, the vaccination task force and ministers.
AstraZeneca vaccine rolled out to 60-64 year-olds
The vaccination of people aged between 60 and 64 years old with the AstraZeneca vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 began in Greece on Monday.
The program runs parallel to the inoculation of persons aged over 75 years old and frontline medical staff with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

PM Citu: Making COVID-19 vaccination mandatory, out of the question
Prime Minister Florin Citu said on Monday that the vaccination against the novel coronavirus will not be mandatory. "This is a law that has been with Parliament for three years; it has nothing to do with the ongoing vaccination campaign. It is a bill in the Romanian Parliament.
Turkish Health Ministry aims to speed up vaccinations
Turkey's Health Ministry has taken a step aiming at speeding up daily vaccinations against COVID-19 by increasing the number of inoculation appointments.
According to the new measure introduced, vaccinations are scheduled for every five minutes in the afternoon while the appointments before noon remained unchanged at 10 minutes apart.
Bulgaria’s Chief Health Inspector: For Now People Cannot Chose Vaccine
"At the moment there is no real choice of vaccines, we expect that people will be able to choose a vaccine in the summer," Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev told Nova TV.
Kunchev explained that this is because we do not have enough vaccines of all kinds as of yet. He reminded that currently the fewest doses our country have received are of vaccine.

A debate has started in recent days regarding how coronavirus vaccinations are being prioritized, with some members of the opposition accusing the government of putting 60-64-year-olds above groups of people with medical conditions that may make them more vulnerable to Covid-19.
