Gülen-linked TV stations removed from top satellite network

Thirteen radio stations and television channels owned by the Samanyolu Media Group have been removed from Türksat, Turkey's top satellite network, daily Hürriyet has reported.

Among the TV channels removed from the Türksat were Samanyolu Haber TV, Mehtap TV, Yumurcak TV and Dünya TV, all owned by the Samanyolu Media Group.

Turkey's TV watchdog to send warning letters to platforms over channel removal

Turkey?s TV watchdog will send warning letters to the country?s pay satellite network and TV operators for their removal of seven TV channels known to be close to the Gülen movement.

Turkey?s media watchdog, the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), discussed on Oct. 14 the removal decision of four platforms over a prosecutor?s demand without a court ruling.  

Children's TV channel, six others removed from Digitürk platform

Seven TV channels, including a children?s station, which belong to companies that are known to be close to the Fethullah Gülen movement, have been removed from one of Turkey?s leading pay satellite network and TV operators, Digitürk. 

Digitürk said in a statement on its website that they had removed the seven TV channels due to ?legal obligations.?
