Vucic: We will fight with heads held up high, protect our interests

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday in New York the situation concerning a UN General Assembly draft resolution on Srebrenica was not simple and that there was still a lot of work to do, but that Serbia would fight to come away with "our heads held up high."

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday in New York he had had discussions with representatives of Asian-Pacific UN member states earlier in the day to explain the reasons for Serbia's opposition to a UN General Assembly draft resolution on Srebrenica and that many of the countries had understood the reasons and said positions on the matter should be harmonised.

Brnabic: With June 2 elections, we are demonstrating constructiveness

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday elections for the Belgrade city assembly and the remaining local polls in Serbia would be held simultaneously on June 2, in line with an opposition demand granted thanks to an appeal by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to demonstrate constructiveness so that "work can be continued after the elections."

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday evening Serbia's position ahead of a vote on a draft Srebrenica resolution in the UN General Assembly was extremely difficult and that having a high number of abstentions and votes against the document would be a "heroic political success."
