Cost of construction materials in Cyprus rises further
An annual increase of 5.78% was recorded in the price index for construction materials for the period January-June 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, according to data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat) on Tuesday.
The price index for construction materials for June 2023 reached 135.28 units (base year 2015=100).
Applications open for ‘Energy Saving at Home’ program
Starting on Monday, the "Energy Saving at Home" program will accept applications through the platform https://exoikonomo2023.gov.gr. The application period will extend until September 15. It is estimated that around 20,000 households will participate in the program, which has a budget of 300 million euros.

A Piece of Insulation Material from an Apartment Building Fell on a Child in Shumen
The incident happened last night when two boys were passing by the apartment building which is being renovated by the government program for energy efficiency. Piece of insulation with the size of 10x10cm flew from scaffolding next to the building and hit one of the children.

Fire erupts at factory in Istanbul
A fire has erupted at a sponge factory in Istanbul's Tuzla district on Dec. 3, Doğan News Agency reported.
Many firefighters were dispatched to the Tuzla Organized Industrial Site to fight the fire.
The fire was taken under control after around one hour's work, which included help from choppers, daily Habertürk reported on its website on Dec. 3.
