Premiere performance of Spanish national ballet in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Ballet Nacional de Espana (Spanish national ballet) will perform in Belgrade for the first time on March 28, providing an opportunity for the Serbian audience to see a live performance of the dance featured in the masterpieces by Spain's legendary film director Carlos Saura “Carmen” and “Flamenco, Flamenco”.

The most renowned Spanish dance company in the world will present two of their latest productions - the famous "Suite Sevilla" choreographed by the company's art director Antonio Najarro and "Grito", by choreographer Antonio Canales, announced the organizers.

The Spanish “bailarinos” have already presented their new repertoire abroad, from the United States to Japan and China, capturing the affection of audiences and winning media praises for thrilling Spanish dance performances by superb flamenco artists.

The guest performance in Belgrade has been supported by the Spanish Embassy in Belgrade and the Cervantes Institute.

Ballet Nacional de Espana was founded by Spain's Ministry of Culture in 1978, and the troupe received numerous international awards.
