Russian Cossacks - spectacle to remember

BELGRADE - Russian Cossacks, the prominent bearer of Cossack culture and a professional dance company, will perform at Belgrade's Sava Centar on Saturday evening.

Company Manager Leonid Milovanov told Friday's press conference that the national ensemble has been cooperating with Serbia for nine years, adding they were well-accepted each time.

Emphasizing friendship with Serbia, Milovanov said that Saturday's performance, which will be staged on the occasion of marking the 70th anniversary of victory over fascism, will be yet another proof of respect for Serbia.

Russian Cossacks are an ensemble at a high professional level and the concert will be one to remember, the manager said.

The dance company with the title of the Great Cossack Ballet has won numerous national and international awards. The last in a series of awards - from the Russian Federation - was presented to them on February 27.
