Serbia and Russia "to continue to deepen ties"

Serbia's First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Wednesday received Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Chepurin.

According to the Serbian government, which cited a Serbia Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement, they "summarized the results of successful cooperation between the two countries in 2017."

The forthcoming visit to Russia of a Serbian delegation led by President Aleksandar Vucic represents "a confirmation of the mutual determination that in the forthcoming period, the joint work will continue to deepen the overall bilateral relations," the statement said.

It added that the officials "assessed that the upward trend of cooperation is fully in line with the friendly relations between Serbia and Russia."
