Vucic: Support of top Russian officials most significant

MOSCOW - The sincere support of Russian top state officials is the most significant for Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Wednesday after a meeting with Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

"Russia's political and economic support is the most significant for us. The support of Russia, (President Vladimir) Putin, Matviyenko, for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia is very significant for us... Maintaining peace and stability in the Balkans is the most important task for Serbia and we expect Russia's help and support in this in the future as well," he said.
