Vucic's upcoming Moscow trip "of utmost importance"

Vucic will be in the Russian capital December 18-20, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to a statement issued by the president's office, Chepurin said that the visit is "of the utmost importance for relations between Serbia and Russia," and that it will contribute to "further strengthening the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries."

Vucic: Serbia committed to develop relations with Russia

BELGRADE - Serbia is firmly committed to develop further its political relations with Russia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at a meeting with Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

They discussed bilateral ties, the situation in the region and an upcoming visit to Moscow by a Serbian delegation.

Matviyenko: No force can destroy Russian-Serbian friendship

BELGRADE - Forcing Serbia to make "an artificial choice" between the West and Russia is impermissible, Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, told Serbian MPs on Monday, noting there was no force in the world that could destroy the friendship and cooperation between Russia and Serbia.

Vucic to meet with Putin in December

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will probably visit Russia in December, when he will meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Russia's TASS reported this on Tuesday, citing Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko, who is on a visit to Serbia, and who spoke after her meeting with Vucic in Belgrade.
