Djokovic completes first training session in Melbourne ahead of Aussie Open

MELBOURNE - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis singles, on Tuesday completed his first training session at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne ahead of Australian Open, the season's first Grand Slam tournament.

Reigning champion Djokovic recently arrived in Melbourne from Perth, where he played for Serbia at the United Cup.

Australian Open 2024 will be held from January 15 through 28, with the draw slated for this Thursday.

Djokovic has won ten Australian Open titles, including last season, when he defeated Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-5) in the final.

The Serbian will make an attempt to win his 25th career Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne.
