Djokovic seeded in Indian Wells first round, Kecmanovic to face Sonego

INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis singles, is seeded in the first round of the Indian Wells ATP tournament and will face the winner of the tie between Australian Aleksandar Vukic and a qualifier in the second round.

The draw ceremony was held last night.

Argentine Tomas Martin Etcheverry, American Tommy Paul, Norwegian Casper Ruud and Pole Hubert Hurkacz are in Djokovic's half of the draw.

If he reaches the semi-finals, Djokovic could face Russian Daniil Medvedev, Dane Holger Rune, American Taylor Fritz or Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who will play Canadian Milos Raonic in the first round.

Djokovic, a five-time Indian Wells champion, made his last appearance at the tournament in 2019.
