High Representative Valentin Inzko, the international overseer of Bosnia and Herzegovina's peace agreement, has sent a letter demanded that Republika Srpska National Assembly, the parliament in the Serb-dominated entity, annuls honours that it awarded last October to people convicted of war crimes within "a deadline of three months, by the end of April 2021".

Bosnia's Election Commission, the CIK, has filed a lawsuit against Bosnian Serb strongman and Serbian member of the state presidency Milorad Dodik, accusing him of inciting national hatred. The crime carries a statutory sentence of three months to ten years in prison if the accused is found guilty.

It is stated that, according to the decision of the council of doctors of the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, after 16 days of fighting COVID-19, Dodik will be released for home treatment today, Banja Luka's Nezavisne novine reports.

A three-centuries-old gilded icon, presented to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov by Milorad Dodik, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be returned amid a row over its origins, the Russian Foreign Ministry told the Russian media.

Each problem is helpfully embodied by the two mentioned political blocs: the SDA is an avatar of Bosnia's kleptocratic political elite, while the SNSD is the most significant threat to the country's sovereignty.

Because these are distinct problems, they require distinct solutions. And in each case, the results of the municipal elections have offered a path forward.

According to Stanivukovic, Dodik will try to change the regulations in the Republika Srpska, establishing the new position of city "manager" who would be appointed by the city council and hold all effective powers.

Visiting Montenegro this month for the funeral of a senior Serbian Orthodox bishop, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stopped by the 'Serbian House' in Podgorica, founded in 2017 and opened in 2019 to promote Serbian science and culture in a country where 30 per cent of people identify as Serb.

Serbs lined the streets of Belgrade to pay homage to the late Serbian Orthodox Patriarch Irinej for his funeral on Sunday, despite the spike in COVID-19 infections across the country.

Irinej tested positive for the coronavirus and was admitted to hospital in Belgrade on November 4. His condition worsened on November 15 and he passed away on November 20, aged 90.
