Ljubljana – Several associations hosted a Day of Slovenian-Serbian Friendship at Fužine Castle in Ljubljana featuring Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia, and his spouse, Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia. It was announced at the event that 12 June would probably be formally declared the Day of Slovenian-Serbian Friendship next year.

Lawmakers in the House of Representatives, the lower house of the Federation parliament, voted on Monday for changes to the entity's Law on Electricity to ban the building of any more small hydropower plants because of their negative impact on the environment.

"The deterioration of the security situation internationally has the potential to spread instability to Bosnia and Herzegovina," EUFOR said on Thursday.

"The Western Balkans is a central part of the vision of a whole, free and prosperous Europe. That is the vital interest of the United States and at the core of its foreign policy", Gabriel Escobar said at the subcommittee session of the American Senate for Foreign Affairs for Europe and regional security cooperation.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday gave Hollywood star Johnny Depp a gold medal for "outstanding merits in public and cultural activities, especially in the field of film art and the promotion of the Republic of Serbia in the world".

But the threat posed by right-wing groups, such as the Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement, has been largely neglected.

Milorad Dodik also said that the best solution is to separate Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats in a civilized way.

As he stated, those two countries are permanently referred to each other, and Croatia remains the best friend of the neighboring country and its advocate in the bodies of the European Union.
