Konstantinos Kakaris and Stylianos Argyropoulos led the scoring for Greece with three goals each.

Nikola Jaksic and Strahinja Pavlovic excelled for Serbia with two goals each.

BUDAPEST - The Serbia men's national water polo team has secured a direct quarter-final berth at the World Championships in Budapest by beating Greece 11-6 (2-1, 3-3, 3-0, 3-2) in a Group C, Round 3 match on Friday to claim the group table top spot.

BELGRADE - The Olympic Committee of Serbia (OCS) on Thursday named male water polo player Filip Filipovic and female taekwondist Tijana Bogdanovic the best Serbian athletes for 2016.

With the national team, Filipovic won the European Championship, the World League and the long-awaited Olympic gold, as well as the Champions League with his club, Italy's Pro Recco.
