Aid for Serbia coming in from all over the world
BELGRADE - The United Nations, the Russian Federation and several European and regional countries have sent relief aid and rescue teams to Serbia to help it deal with the consequences of the floods, the press office of the Serbian Interior Ministry said on Monday.

EU to provide assistance to flood-stricken Serbia, Bosnia
BRUSSELS - The European Union has activated its civil defence mechanism after Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina requested assistance late Thursday due to the massive floods that hit large parts of both countries, the European Commission said on Friday.
Much more money, prevention only way to fight flooding
BELGRADE - The state has to invest much more money in regular maintenance of water management facilities and canals network and an adequate prevention could have lessened the consequences of the past two days’ flooding by up to 70 percent, directors of water management enterprises and members of the PKS Water Management Association said Friday.

Acropolis Museum evacuated after hoax bomb threat
The Acropolis Museum was briefly evacuated on Friday after an anonymous caller warned that a bomb would go off inside the building, according to police who said the call appeared to have been a hoax.

Three Dead, Two Missing in Romanian Floods
Three people drowned on Monday in a flooding in Southern Romania, with a 13-year-old boy among them.
Two more have been reported missing after heavy rainfall caused rivers to swell, according to Bulgaria's public broadcaster BNT.
Traffic is disrupted on a few roads after the flooding caused landslides.

Serbia assists Slovenia in emergency situation
BELGRADE - The Republic of Serbia has sent Slovenia, in which the emergency situation is in force, five high-capacity generators in an effort to assist citizens in the areas most affected by severe weather conditions.
According to the Monday release of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior (MUP), the assistance was sent via the Serbian emergency situations department.
