Turkey to convene National Education Council before the end of this year, the Turkish president said on Sept. 14.

"We decided to convene the National Education Council, which I believe will open new horizons for Turkey in the field of education, on Dec. 1-3 this year," said Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Twitter.

Despite sabotage attempts, Turkey is gradually getting closer to its 2023 goals, the country's president said on Sept. 11.

As the Taliban just announced an interim cabinet for Afghanistan, Turkey is carefully monitoring developments in the country, said the Turkish president on Sept. 7. 

Turkey has pulled out all its civilians and military from Afghanistan except for a small number of technicians, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Aug. 28.

"We transported our citizens to our country. Currently we have a small number of technical elements. Apart from this, we have withdrawn all our teams," Erdoğan told a news conference in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

Turkish authorities are working to set up talks with the Taliban, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Aug. 11, signaling that he might meet with the Taliban leader in the future.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 27 vowed to boost Turkey's trade volume with the Southern African nation of Angola.

"The agreement is in effect until September. If anyone makes a decision on recognizing Kosovo's independence prior to this, we will immediately start a derecognition campaign", he said.

The Turkish president on July 12 spoke over the phone with his Israeli counterpart and discussed relations between the two countries as well as regional issues.

In a statement, the Turkish Communications Directorate said that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated Israel's Isaac Herzog on his inauguration as president.

Turkey will kick off Antalya Diplomacy Forum on June 18 in the southern province of Antalya where world leaders and dozens of foreign ministers as well as prominent diplomats, academics and journalists will convene for several discussions.
