Documentary on Turkish armed drone released on Youtube
A documentary on Turkey's first armed drone was released on the first day of the Muslim holiday of Eid al Fitr.
The feature, titled AKINCI after the model's name, documents the development of the unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) and was posted on the YouTube channel of arms maker Baykar Technologies on May 24.
Greece bracing for hottest mid-May heatwave in 50 years
As temperatures are expected to hit and even exceed 40 degrees Celsius in many parts of the country this weekend, a National Observatory of Athens (NOA) scientist said Greece may be in for the hottest May heatwave in at least 50 years.
The NSI will Conduct a Test Census in the Spring
A population and housing census test will be conducted by the NSI in the spring. This is recorded in the National Statistical Program for 2020, adopted today by the Council of Ministers.
The survey precedes the actual census, which will be conducted across the European Union in 2021.

Spot electricity market trade volume up 17 pct in 2019
Turkey's day-ahead spot electricity market's trade volume increased year-on-year by 17.17 percent in 2019, according to data provided by Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) on Jan. 6.
The trade volume in the day-ahead spot electricity market, which EXIST has operated since 2015, registered at 40.85 billion Turkish liras in 2019 compared to 34.86 billion liras in 2018.
Record: This Year's October Is the Warmest Recorded in History
This year's October is the warmest in the world since the Copernicus European Climate Change Service began its observations in 1981, France's press office reported.
This is the 5th consecutive month that is breaking or approaching record highs.
Clocks go back on Sunday
Clocks in Greece should be set back an hour at 4 a.m. on Saturday to 3 a.m. as Daylight Saving Time ends.
The next time clocks will change will be on the last Sunday of March 2020, when official summer time will begin.

Weather to change, bringing rain, lower temperatures
