The Animals frontman Eric Burdon is set to perform at the Odeon of Herod Atticus. The soulful rock musician best known for the iconic song "The House of the Rising Sun," has spent three-quarters of his life entertaining audiences across the globe. In addition to The Animals, Burdon has worked with funk rock band War and also began a solo career in 1971. The concert begins at 9 p.m.

Classic Rock 3 | Athens | September 18

The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Athens State Orchestra join forces for a rock celebration like no other. Hear rock anthems by AC/DC, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones performed by the talented symphony musicians, accompanied by special guests Ray Wilson of Genesis and Uli Jon Roth of the Scorpions. The show starts at 9 p.m.

Queen Symphonic – New Date | Athens | September 7 & 8

Due to popular demand, the organizers of the Queen Symphonic show at the Herod Atticus Theater have added another date, Sunday, September 8. In the concert, leading actors from the West End musical "We Will Rock You" are joined by a 60-member symphony orchestra in some of the best-loved songs of the great British rock band Queen.

Callas Gala | Athens | September 2

The Herod Atticus Theater will be hosting an opera gala on Monday, September 2, to help raise funds for the Maria Callas Academy Society, which hopes to purchase the building at 61 Patission Street in downtown Athens, where the Greek opera legend spent a part of her formative years from 1937 to 1945, and turn it into its headquarters.

Mario Frangoulis & Tammy McCann | Athens | August 31

Greek tenor Mario Frangoulis returns to the Herod Atticus Theater for his annual summer concert, presenting an upbeat program of popular jazz and swing tunes in a show titled "P.S. I Love You," following a sold-out run last winter. He is joined on stage by the Blue Skies big band and Tammy McCann, hailed as one of the top jazz acts in Chicago right now. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Andrea Bocelli | Athens | September 11

Acclaimed musician, composer, producer, stage performer and singer Andrea Bocelli returns to Athens after several years for a single show at the Herod Atticus Theater on September 11. The Italian tenor's program will comprise selections from the classical repertory, popular opera and operetta arias, Italian ballads and modern pop.
