Almost three in every 10 stores are shuttered, data show
The amount of shuttered storefronts as a percentage of all shops in central Athens has crept up, reversing the trend of the first half of the year, according to data released by the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Enterprises (ESEE).
In September empty stores amounted to 28.1 percent of the total across the country, with the rate in Athens coming to 26.4 percent.

11th annual Comicdom Con exhibition
The 11th Comicdom Con exhibition, organized by the non-profit organization Comicdom Press, theHellenic American Union and the French Institute Of Greece, will take place in Athens on April 15-17 2016.
The three-day comics festival will be hosted at the main building of the Hellenic American Union (22 Massalias str) and the French Institute of Greece building (31 Sina str).

Greek artist Panayiotis Tetsis dies at 91
The great Greek painter, teacher and academic, Panayiotis Tetsis, died at the age of 91. “Who can really imagine the history of modern Greek painting without Tetsis?” said the director of National Gallery and close friend of his, Marina Lambraki Plaka, a few days ago at an event held by the Ministry of Culture, which awarded him Yannis Moralis award.
