Turkey will showcase its top-notch technology event Teknofest in other countries, the Turkish president said on Sept. 25.

Turkey’s biggest aero event set to kick off
Teknofest, Turkey's largest aerospace and technology gathering and the world's second-biggest aviation event, will kick off tomorrow in Istanbul.
The five-day festival, jointly organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Industry and Technology Ministry, is going to last until Sept. 26 in Istanbul's Atatürk Airport.

Aselsan keeps its place among top 50 defense companies
Turkey's top defense company Aselsan has been placed 48th in Defense News Top 100 list for 2020 with $2.2 billion in revenues.
The prestigious American magazine compiles the list in accordance with companies' annual defense revenues.
Aselsan increased its defense revenues by 2 percent year-on-year in 2020, according to Defense News.
Turkish Aerospace inks deal with Ukrainian firm to buy helicopter engines
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has inked a deal with Ukraine's Motor Sich to purchase 14 heavy class attack helicopter engines.
According to a statement from TAI on June 29, the deliveries will be completed by 2025 with the first two engines to be handed over in September 2022.
Defense giant Aselsan inks $50.7 mln export deal
Turkey's largest defense company Aselsan signed an export agreement worth €42.59 million ($50.7 million), according to a statement on June 22.
The agreement was signed with an international client, the defense firm said through the country's Public Disclosure Platform.
"Under the contract, the deliveries will be made in 2023-2024," it noted.

New rocket system ready for use by Turkish army
Turkey's multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) successfully hit targets in a firing test, the head of Turkey's Defense Industries Authority said on May 12.
The new 107mm system is ready for use by the Turkish Armed Forces, İsmail Demir said in a tweet.

The Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) is conducting two unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) projects along with three plane and six helicopter projects, including a national combat aircraft (MMU), the chairman said.
