Turkey's 'dollar-exit' trade plan to be tested in PM's Russia visit

Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım will visit Russia on Dec. 5-7, where he will discuss Ankara's  first steps to ensure that trade with China, Russia and Iran is conducted in local currency, along with several other key issues.

All accommodation expenses and other expenditures by the Turkish delegation will be paid for in Russian rubles, the Prime Ministry said in a statement yesterday.

STRASBOURG - Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic and Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, signed in Strasbourg on Thursday an agreement on cooperation between the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) and the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS).

BELGRADE -- Serbia will preserve its neutral position and will not introduce any kind of sanctions against Russia, President Tomislav Nikolic said on Wednesday.

He made the remarks during his meeting in Belgrade with Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko.

Australia Imposes Sanctions on Russian Officials, Companies

Australia has imposed new sanctions on 38 Russian officials and 11 companies in connection with the situation in Ukraine.

This is the second round of sanctions by Australia, following similar ones in March, targeting 12 Russian and Ukrainian citizens, thus making a total of 50 individuals and 11 companies.
