Greek court jails 2 Swedish men over IS membership
A Greek court has convicted two Swedish nationals of belonging to the Islamic State group, and sentenced them to 15 years imprisonment.

Turkish NATO officers seek political asylum
A number of Turkish officers serving in NATO command posts have asked for asylum since a failed military coup in July, alliance head Jens Stoltenberg said Friday.
Stoltenberg also said he would travel to Istanbul on Sunday, having been there in September when he sought to reassure Ankara of NATO’s continued support.

Court starts examining Turkish extradition request

Thessaloniki-Alexandroupoli train service suspended due to heavy rainfall
Train services between Komotini and Alexandroupoli and Alexandroupoli and Dikaia have been temporarily suspended due to problems on the tracks caused by heavy rainfall in northern Greece, rail operator Trainose said on Thursday.
Trainose discounts for students
European Youth Card holders will continue to benefit from 12-euro train tickets on the Athens-Thessaloniki-Alexandroupoli and Athens-Kalabaka routes, it was announced on Monday.
The deal, signed between Trainose and the General Secretariat for Youth, foresees 3,000 tickets sold per month to card holders on certain intercity services.
